During my time at Wagtail, I worked on improving the information architecture, writing contribution guidelines, writing tutorials, and improving the Developer and User Guide documentation.

  • Improved user guide’s information architecture. This makes it easier for users to find what they need, navigate through content, and understand the relationships between different sections of the documentation.
  • Audited and improved the content and structure of the Wagtail Getting Started tutorial.
  • Researched and analyzed different style guide options, influenced the adoption of the chosen guide, and thereby improved the consistency of the developer and user guide documentations.
  • Created tutorials for new users to build their own deployable Wagtail website using the newest version of Wagtail.
  • Conducted user research to better understand users’ pain points and needs.
  • Worked with the Wagtail community organizers to adapt onboarding tutorials for open-source beginners, to support programs and workshops like Google Summer of Code, Google Season of Docs, Outreachy, and Coders of Colour.
